Temple Mount Walk
An amazing walk on the actual site ot the Temple of the time of King Solomon and Herod the Great, since the 7th century occupied by the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa mosque.
The tour begins early, 7:00 Winter (October to April) and 8:00 in Summer (April to October).
We need to wait in queue and while we wait we will hear about the Jewish customs relating to the holiness of the Temple Mount.
Enter through the Gate of the Morrocans into the courtyard of the Gentiles, continue to the Kas (washing basin) on to the steps leading up to the courtyard of the women, through the scales to the entrance of the Dome of the Rock, where we peak inside but not enter, unless we happen to be Muslims.
Continue to the Gate of Mercy for a view of the Mt. of Olives.
Walk past the ruins of the Antonia Fortress to the Gate of the tribes. Continue past the Pool of Bethesda, through the Via Dolorosa.
Stop for a view of the city. Tour ends at the Damascus Gate Light Ral station. Duration 3 hrs. Cost per igroup 600 shekels (minimum 4 persons)
