A 3 hour inspiring walk in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem with Leon Gork as your tour guide.

A wonderful tour to learn all about our Jewish Heritage in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Tour will include:

  • Visit the reconstructed Ohel Yitzhak Synagogue

  • Visit the Kotel (Wailing Wall) Hear about the real reason why Jews wail at the Wall

  • Visit the Herodian Houses

  • Visit the Cardo

  • Visit Hezekia's Broad Wall

A walk around the outside of the walls of Jerusalem 

Itinerary:

Magnificent panoramic view of Jerusalem, Damascus Gate, Hadrian's Gate, New Gate, Views of Mt. of Olives and Mt Scopus, Lions Gate, Gate of Mercy, the Kidron Valley, Southern Wall, Dung Gate, Wailing Wall.

 

A walk through the Christian Quarter.

 

Itinerary:

Jaffa Gate, Coptic Quarter, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Via Dolorosa, Wailing Wall.

Ramparts walk

Start at the Jaffa Gate.

Ascend the Wall.

View the Old and New City of Jerusalem.

Walk past the Armenian Quarter.

View of Montefiori’s Windmill and suburb, the first Jewish Suburb outside the walls built in 1860.

Continue to the Zion Gate.

Spectacular view of the Dome of the Rock and Mt. Zion.

Descend to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall)

continue through the Dung Gate to the Milo (fortress of the kings of Judah)

walk along the Kidron Valley where you can have a beautiful view of the Mt. of Olives and the ancient monumental tombs in the valley..4Optional extension. Visit the City of David.

 

 

Temple Mount Walk

An amazing walk on the actual site ot the Temple of the  time of King Solomon and Herod the Great, since the 7th century occupied by the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa mosque.

 

The tour begins early, 7:00 Winter (October to April) and 8:00 in Summer (April to October).

 

We start at the Jaffa Gate, continue through the Armenian and he Jewish Quarter to a point where we have view of the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

We need to wait in  queue and while we wait we will hear about the Jewish customs relating to the holiness of the Temple Mount.

 

Enter through the Gate of the Morrocans into the courtyard of the Gentiles, continue to the Kas (washing basin) on to the steps leading up to the courtyard of the women, through the scales to the entrance of the Dome of the Rock, where we peak inside but not enter, unless we happen to be Muslims.

 

Continue to the Gate of Mercy for a view of the Mt. of Olives.

 

Walk past the ruins of the Antonia Fortress to the Gate of the tribes. Continue past the Pool of Bethesda, through the Via Dolorosa.

 

Stop for a view of the city. Tour ends at the Damascus Gate Light Ral station. Duration 3 hrs. Cost per igroup 600 shekels (minimum 4 persons)
